Fake mechanical oil seized

Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) have seized over a thousand counterfeit WD-40 mechanical cleaning oil worth over P.5 million during a raid conducted in Binondo, Manila, the bureau reported yesterday. 

Raided were the stockrooms of DW2 Commercial, owned and operated by Ben and Alice Chua, located at No. 383 Barraca St., Binondo.

Seized during the raid were 1,193 counterfeit WD-40 products.

The owners of the raided stockrooms are facing charges of Trademark Infringement under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines or Republic Act 8293.
